Hi I’m Ryan.
For the past 17 years, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with first responders, including nurses and police officers—supporting them through stress, trauma, addiction, and everything in between. I’ve also volunteered with the Crisis Centre for three years, walking alongside people through everything from daily overwhelm to moments of acute crisis. These experiences have taught me the deep value of listening, understanding, and showing up with compassion.
Now, as a supervised intern at Grigore Counselling & Associates, I work with teens, adults, and couples who are ready to quiet their inner critic, ease anxiety, and feel more present and connected in their lives. Whether you’re facing big life transitions or just trying to make sense of the daily mental noise, you don’t have to do it alone. Together, we’ll build tools for setting healthy boundaries, communicating with confidence, and navigating challenges with more clarity and calm.
I offer sessions both in-person and online, and as a student counsellor, my work is supported by the guidance of Founder & Clinical Director, Robert Grigore MCP, RCC, so you can feel secure in receiving thoughtful, layered care. If you’re ready to take the first step toward feeling more like yourself again (or meeting that version of you for the first time), I invite you to book a free 20-minute consultation. I’d be honoured to support you on your journey.
Fun Fact About Me: I love science fiction as well as musicals, but probably not together.

Hi, I’m Olena. I’m a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and EMDR-trained therapist. I offer a calm, supportive space where you can slow down, feel understood, and make sense of what you’re going through.
I work with adults, couples and teens who are experiencing anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, emotional overwhelm, and major life transitions. My approach is trauma-informed and collaborative, and I tailor each session to your needs.
Clients often tell me they appreciate my calm presence, thoughtful questions, and the sense of safety they feel in sessions. I believe therapy is not about fixing you, but about helping you reconnect with your inner resources, clarity, and sense of self.
I offer counselling in English and Ukrainian.
You’re welcome to reach out if you’d like to see whether working together feels like a good fit.

People often come to me feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from who they are – especially when past experiences, cultural expectations, or major life transitions begin to feel heavy and difficult to navigate. Through trauma-informed counselling, my role is to help lighten that weight.
With a culturally attuned and collaborative approach, I offer a safe space where you can explore your story, untangle your thoughts, reconnect with your values, and build practical tools that support emotional balance.
Clients often leave our work together with greater clarity, confidence, and a renewed sense of direction. They gain strategies that help them navigate challenges more effectively, honour their identities, and move forward with intention and resilience.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and an Adler University graduate with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. I bring more than ten years of multicultural experience supporting children, youth, and families across community and clinical settings.
Over the years, I’ve worked as a mentor, tutor, admissions staff member, and now as a clinical counsellor. Each of these roles has shaped my understanding of how people grow, cope, and make meaning through even the most complex circumstances.
My own lived experiences also inform the way I show up in the therapy room. I strive to create a calm, open, and culturally sensitive space where you feel safe to explore your emotions and experiences at your own pace. Grounded in an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed approach, I work collaboratively—honouring your identity, your strengths, and your unique path toward healing.
When I’m not working, I recharge with the small joys—tea in hand, a peaceful walk, quality time with my family, or cozying up to the newest rom-com or holiday movie.

I support individuals who are navigating emotional, psychological, and mental pain—often carried in silence. Many of my clients experience anxiety, depression, trauma, or a deep sense of disconnection, unsure of where to turn or how to begin healing.
My approach is holistic, culturally informed, and personalized. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore your thoughts, uncover the roots of your struggles, and build healthier ways to cope. I consider the full context of your life—your identity, culture, community, and environment—so our work aligns with your values and goals.
My therapeutic modalities include: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA), Christian Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Experiential Therapy, Family Systems, Integrative, Multicultural, and Person-Centered.
Clients often leave our sessions with renewed hope, greater self-awareness, and practical tools to face life’s challenges. Over time, they experience reduced symptoms, stronger relationships, and a deeper sense of purpose.
I am a medical graduate and current residency candidate, as well as a final-year Counselling Psychology MA student at Athabasca University. I bring over six years of experience across clinical and community mental health settings, including leadership roles in youth and family services. I have specialized training in ABA and PBS therapy models and have designed behavior plans for children with neurodevelopmental and emotional challenges.
Additionally, I’ve gained extensive clinical experience through observerships and traineeships affiliated with the College of Physicians and Surgeons in hospitals across BC such as Burnaby General Hospital, West Coast General Hospital, and Mount St. Josephs, working alongside licensed physicians. For the past five years, I’ve also served as Clinic Director at Cornerstone Psychiatric Clinic, providing trauma-informed care for clients with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and more—always with a focus on empathy, collaboration, and meaningful transformation.
Fun fact about me: Even at 5 foot 1, I used to compete in tournaments when I was younger (even basketball!!).
